Welcome to the City of Post Falls Building Division.  We hope this site will clarify your search for information. 
   Our mission is to help you build and promote a safe city through the services of a dedicated staff.  The Building Division provides qualified personnel to enforce various codes and ordinances through plan review, issuance of permits, inspections of both new construction and existing residential and commercial premises. 
   The Division also strives to identify ways to increase effectiveness of service to citizens.  We strive to provide quality public services in partnership with the citizens, builders and designers.

Call for Building Inspections 292-1201 The Building Division has a dedicated telephone line to be used by contractors for calling in inspection requests.  The new number to leave your voice mail inspection request is 292-1201. See details below about how to leave an inspection request.

NOTICE:
Ordinace No. 1139 (Effective Jan. 1, 2008)

 This new ordinance has been adopted and becomes effective January 1st, 2008.  It states the Building, Residential, Plumbing, Electrical, Existing Building, Property Maintenance, Energy Conservation, Mechanical and Fuel Gas codes and exceptions and amendments that have been adopted for use by the City of Post Falls.(Download Ordinance 1139)

INSPECTION PHONE LINE:
The City of Post Falls Building Division has a new dedicated telephone line to be used by contractors for calling in inspection requests.  The new number to leave your voice mail inspection request is 292-1201.
Callers will be asked to leave their permit number, job address, inspection type and the date the inspection is desired.  Please remember that if all information is not left, an inspection cannot be scheduled.  Also note that the Building Division does not schedule am or pm inspections so your job will need to be ready the morning of the inspection.  However, if you are pouring concrete, please leave your pour time as the inspectors will try to work with that time frame.  Inspection requests left after 5:00 pm will not be able to be scheduled for the following day.
